Betfred has completed the acquisition of Sharp Gaming, announcing plans to rebrand the company and integrate it into its operations. Sharp Gaming's founder, Andrew Daniels, has been named as the group's Chief Information Officer, overseeing the integration process.
Founded in May 2020 with significant backing from Betfred's founder, Fred Dawn, Sharp Gaming focused on providing operational services for sports betting and gaming. Now, it will function as Betfred's in-house technology department, leveraging its expertise to enhance the company's offerings.
Under Daniels' leadership, Sharp Gaming developed a new platform for Betfred, encompassing player account management, bookmaking, and game aggregation. With Betfred's investment in Sharp Gaming reaching £100 million, the acquisition marks a significant step forward in Betfred's technological advancement and operational capabilities.
