Britain Announces Safer Gambling Week 2023

Britain Announces Safer Gambling Week 2023

From November 13 to 19, gaming and betting industry participants will conduct a series of events discussing safe betting practices.

This campaign, taking place in the United Kingdom for the 7th time, will be managed this year by the British Amusement Catering Trade Association (Bacta), the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC), and the Bingo Association. It will address both online betting and offline casinos.

BGC Chief Executive Michael Dugher noted that last year's campaign was successful. In 2022, 61% of players set deposit limits for the first time. Despite this, interest in the industry on social media has only increased.

Experts point out that during the "Safer Gambling Week," individuals can receive valuable tips, guidance, and support to learn to gamble more responsibly and enhance their well-being throughout the year.

Social media posts are already emerging about the importance of a sensible approach to gambling, using the hashtag #SGWeek23. Professionals recommend setting a specific betting budget and resisting the urge to spend extra money in attempts to recoup losses.
