Chinese Players Turn to AI for Lottery Number Picks

Chinese Players Turn to AI for Lottery Number Picks

The lotto industry in China is undergoing a change thanks to the increasing number of players who turn to AI chatbots for guidance when choosing their numbers. Gu Xiangnan, a devoted social media user and lottery aficionado, highlighted the expanding trend by sharing her personal experiences with these AI technologies.

Gu Xiangnan's approach involved inputting two years' worth of historical data from the Super Lotto, one of the nation's most popular lotteries, into a chatbot. This particular game challenges players to choose five numbers from a pool of 35 and two bonus numbers from a separate set, with numbers ranging from 1 to 12. Among the combinations generated by the AI, some included winning numbers, and in two instances, the correct bonus numbers were predicted. However, despite these promising selections, Gu Xiangnan did not secure a major win.

Furthermore, she mentioned spending 20 yuan on yet another, Union Lotto tickets using the same AI methodology, resulting in a modest win of 5 yuan.

Gu Xiangnan's experience is not unique to this new trend. Other users who likewise relied on AI-generated numbers to success also shared their stories in her post's comments section, albeit with smaller winnings.
