Online gambling and sportsbook operators DraftKings and BetMGM have secured agreements to enter the North Carolina market in anticipation of the official launch of legal betting in the state. Both contracts encompass the introduction of sports betting, including within the realm of car racing.
DraftKings is set to collaborate with the National Association of Stock Car Racing (NASCAR). It will become the exclusive partner of the fantasy sports game series in the US and Canada and will also serve as the official NASCAR gambling operator. North Carolina marks the 27th U.S. state where DraftKings has established a presence.
BetMGM, on the other hand, has inked a deal with the Charlotte Motor Speedway, a venue that hosts NASCAR races, including the prestigious Coca-Cola 600, a 600-mile (970 km) speed competition.
