DraftKings, a prominent bookmaker, has finalized the acquisition of Sports IQ Analytics, a company specializing in artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for the online sports betting sector.
While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, Sports IQ CEO Omer Dor confirmed the acquisition through a post on LinkedIn. DraftKings, however, has yet to officially comment on the purchase.
Based in Vancouver, Canada, Sports IQ Analytics offers software solutions tailored for online sports betting platforms. Their technology covers a wide range of sporting events, totaling over 12 thousand annually, with access to numerous gaming markets.
The acquisition follows DraftKings' recent announcement of its first-quarter results, showcasing a remarkable 52.7% year-on-year revenue growth to $1.18 billion. The company's strong performance in the first quarter has led to an upward revision of its full-year forecast.
