Fanatics Betting and Gaming has launched Fanatics Sportsbook in New York. Previously, specifically for entering the New York market, the organization acquired the assets of the PointsBet bookmaker; the Fanatics brand will replace it.
As in other states, the company promised to seamlessly transition existing customers to the new app, allowing them to keep their usernames, passwords, accounts and rewards points.
Fanatics Sportsbook users now have access to the app on both iOS and Android. Players are covered by the Fanatics loyalty program: 5% cashback with FanCash points, which can then be spent on new bets.
In 2023, PointsBet management decided to sell its US business and focus on other markets.
