Flutter Entertainment has increased the size of its board of directors, with the addition of two new members to its top management team. Christine McCarthy, the former CFO of Disney, will be serving on the audit committee, while Robert Bennett, the former CEO of Liberty Media, will be joining the risk and sustainability committee.
“The vast experience of these individuals in the entertainment industry will be an invaluable asset to Flutter as we continue to strengthen our leadership position as a global provider of online sports betting and gaming,” said Flutter Chairman John Bryant.
McCarthy joins Flutter's board of directors after spending the past 24 years at Disney, where she most recently served as CFO and Senior Executive Vice President.
In addition, McCarthy currently works as a director at Procter & Gamble, FM Global and National Geographic.
The new manager of Flutter Entertainment brings with him experience in senior financial positions at Imperial Bancorp and First Interstate Bancorp before joining Disney. Additionally, Robert Bennett serves as the managing director of Hilltop Investments, a private investment company.
Previously, he was President of Discovery and Chief Financial Officer of Liberty Media Corporation. Bennett also worked briefly for Tele-Communications and the Bank of New York.
Currently, he is a director at HP and Liberty Media. During his career he has held director positions at Warner Bros, Discovery, Sprint Corporation, Demand Media, Discovery Holding Company, Liberty Interactive Corporation and Sprint Nextel Corporation.
