Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ), France's national gambling regulator, has advised the country's bookmakers to exercise restraint in their advertising efforts due to the extensive lineup of sporting events scheduled for 2024.
ANJ traditionally releases an annual update on French bookmakers' marketing activities, assessing their advertising plans for the upcoming year. In its evaluation for 2024, ANJ observed that many bookmakers intend to "continue the strategy implemented in 2023." With the exception of WINAMAX, ANJ has granted approval for the advertising plans of all bookmakers in 2024.
The year 2024 is significant for sports events, as Paris is set to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games, while neighboring Germany will be the venue for Euro 2024. These tournaments are scheduled at intervals of several months, with the first in July and August and the second in June.
