Golden Matrix Completes Acquisition of MeridianBet

Golden Matrix Corporation (GMG) has successfully finalized the acquisition of bookmaker MeridianBet Group for a total consideration of $300 million. The acquisition was approved by shareholders in March following the announcement of the planned merger in January 2023.

According to the company's press release, the acquisition of MeridianBet will significantly enhance Golden Matrix's access to regulated B2C markets. The deal, anticipated to close in the first half of 2023, saw legal representation from Loev Law Firm for Golden Matrix and Howard & Howard for MeridianBet. Following the acquisition, shares of the combined entity will continue to be traded on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker symbol GMG.

Golden Matrix CEO Brian Goodman expressed confidence in the company's ability to drive economic growth through this strategic acquisition. He stated, "We believe the acquisition will bring about fundamental and transformative changes for our rapidly expanding company."
