Kambi Comments on Rumours of Buying Genius Sports

Kambi, which provides a variety of sports betting services for licensed B2C gaming operators, has addressed speculation regarding a potential acquisition by Genius Sports. Reports indicated that Genius Sports had approached Kambi with an acquisition proposal, causing a surge in Kambi's stock price. However, these claims were quickly dismissed as unfounded. Kambi Chairman Anders Ström refuted the reports, emphasising that the company is not in any discussions of this nature.

"Though Kambi typically refrains from commenting on rumours and speculation, I can confirm that we are not engaged in any such negotiations," Ström stated.

The acquisition rumours surfaced just a month after Kambi's impressive second-quarter performance was released. Additionally, the recent appointment of seasoned executive Werner Becher as the new CEO has further bolstered Kambi’s standing.
