Betting operator Sportingtech has identified Chile and Peru as key players in the gambling industry in Latin America. According to their research, these countries offer opportunities that are not available in Argentina and Brazil – namely, the ability to win and receive payouts in dollars.
This situation allows both players and bookmakers in Peru and Chile to earn more. Experts predict that in 2023, gamblers in Peru will earn a total of $147 million, while those in Chile will earn $103.7 million.
Despite the positive forecasts and the push for the development of the gambling industry, Chilean authorities have ordered the blocking of 23 sports betting operators within the country. Meanwhile, in Peru, there has been a significant increase in licensing fees for the gambling business.
