Sun International has secured the acquisition of the flagship Emperors Palace Resort Peermont for £313 million. The deal also encompasses the online bookmaker PalaceBet.
Situated adjacent to South Africa's international airport, Peermont is expected to serve as a "gateway to high-net-worth clients" from various parts of the continent and overseas visitors, according to Sun International. The diverse client base is seen as a valuable asset for the organization's "synergy and other activities."
The acquisition is anticipated to open up "alternative revenue streams," utilizing the casino, conference facilities, and a hotel to enhance the overall comfort and experience for players.
