The District of Columbia Division of Lottery and Gaming Regulation (DCOLG) has granted a license to The Ugly Mug sportsbook, operated by Elys BMG Group. The eagerly anticipated grand opening of the land-based betting venue is scheduled for April 27, featuring exclusive promotions and events.
According to the press release from Elys, The Ugly Mug sportsbook will be situated within the bar-restaurant of the same name in Washington. The company plans to unveil a detailed event schedule closer to the opening date, promising a menu featuring traditional American dishes.
The launch of The Ugly Mug marks Elys' fourth private sportsbook in the area, with another location set to open in Grand Central H. Elys aims for The Ugly Mug to become a premier destination in the Washington Navy Yard area, underscoring its ambition to establish itself as a leading betting technology provider in the United States.
