In a significant move, the renowned gambling corporation 888 Holdings has undergone an official rebranding and is now known as Evoke plc. This transformation follows recent announcements outlining plans for a comprehensive rebranding strategy alongside the release of financial reports.
For the fiscal year, Evoke plc reported a robust 12-month revenue of £1.70 billion, marking a notable 37.0% increase compared to the same period in 2022. However, despite the revenue surge, the company's net loss remained relatively stable.
The rebranding initiative was contingent upon shareholder approval, which was successfully obtained during 888's annual general meeting on May 13. Upon completion of the rebranding process, the newly renamed entity will commence trading on the London Stock Exchange under the symbol EVOK.
During the General Meeting of Shareholders, several key resolutions were passed, including the re-election of various directors and the election of 888 CEO Per Widerström. Additionally, Ernst and Young LLP and EY Limited were reaffirmed as the company's auditors. Per Widerström expressed optimism about the rebrand, emphasizing that Evoke represents an opportunity to "reboot" the company.
