For the second year in a row, the Swiss Admiral Mendrisio casino has been nominated for a World Casino Awards in the category of "Best Entertainment Casino in Europe." Birgit Wimmer, the chairman of the casino's board of directors, stated that the nomination is "a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire casino staff."
The casino offers six cash game poker tables and 14 tournament tables, 336 slot machines, of which 63 offer the chance to win a jackpot, including the top prize of 500,000 Swiss francs (about 570,000 US dollars). Admiral Mendrisio features tables for American roulette, blackjack, Texas hold'em, and other popular card games.
In addition to entertainment, the venue offers dining options: the casino houses two cafes, a restaurant with a gourmet menu, and a buffet-style bistro.
In 2022, the Monte Carlo Casino won the World Casino Awards. This year, it has also been nominated for "Best Entertainment Casino in Europe," along with casinos in Barcelona, Malta, and the German town of Bad Homburg.
