Aristocrat Leisure Completes Regulatory Approval for NeoGames Acquisition

Aristocrat Leisure Limited Corporation has successfully obtained all required regulatory approvals for its acquisition of lottery and gambling provider NeoGames. The deal, initially announced in May 2023, is valued at approximately $1.2 billion, representing a significant premium of around 104% to NeoGames' share price.

In a statement, the Aristocrat press service confirmed that they have received all necessary permissions from antitrust regulators and foreign investor supervisory authorities. With regulatory hurdles cleared, the acquisition process is nearly complete, pending a shareholder vote by NeoGames scheduled for April 26. Should shareholders approve the deal, Aristocrat intends to finalize the acquisition on the same day.

John Taylor, chairman of NeoGames, expressed confidence in the acquisition, stating that Aristocrat's offer provides attractive value to shareholders and validates the strength of NeoGames' business. The completion of regulatory approval marks a significant milestone in the acquisition process, positioning Aristocrat to expand its presence in the global gaming market.
