BIG Brazil, in partnership with Caesars Sportsbook, is taking proactive steps to establish its presence in the Brazilian sports betting market. The company has announced its intention to seek accreditation with the Rio de Janeiro State Lottery, as confirmed by a meeting between BIG Brazil President Andre Feldman and Loterj President Hasenclever Lopez Cançado.
Back in February 2023, BIG Brazil International Games teamed up with Caesars to prepare for the introduction of sports betting in Brazil, contingent upon legalization. With the approval of Bill 3626/2023 in December, the groundwork has been laid for the launch of the company's bookmaker by the end of 2024.
Expressing optimism about the venture, Feldman stated, "Expectations are high." He further elaborated that the company is gearing up to enter the Brazilian market, starting with Rio de Janeiro. Specialists are already engaged in crafting the necessary technical documentation to secure accreditation from Loterj.
Despite the regulatory landscape surrounding sports betting in Brazil still being in flux, several betting companies have begun operations in anticipation of future legalization. This proactive approach underscores the growing interest and potential of the Brazilian market among industry players.
