Caesars Entertainment, a leading online casino and sportsbook operator, has unveiled plans to launch a sports betting app in North Carolina through an agreement with the Cherokee Indian tribe, holding a gambling and betting monopoly in the state.
Starting March 11, enthusiasts can engage in sports betting through the Caesars Sportsbook app, with user registrations opening on March 1. The North Carolina Lottery Commission, on January 24, granted approval for the official launch of online sports betting, accessible to individuals aged 21 and above.
Caesars Entertainment has previously partnered with the Cherokee Indian tribe for the establishment of land-based casinos, including the Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee County and the Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel in Murphy County. This latest venture underscores Caesars' commitment to expanding its presence in the online betting market through strategic collaborations.
