The Danish gambling regulator, Spillemyndigheden, has addressed a bug in its self-exclusion system that impacted over a thousand individuals. The issue involved users who had renewed their self-exclusion in the ROFUS system, finding that they could still access certain games. The bug retained the original exclusion period without extending it to recently added games. Approximately 1,200 users were affected by this error.
Spillemyndigheden has assured that steps have been taken to prevent such mistakes for future users of the self-exclusion system. The regulator reported the incident to the Danish Data Protection Agency, emphasizing its commitment to protecting players and ensuring secure exclusion measures.
