eCOGRA, an online gambling standards body, has received authorization from the Secretaria De Prêmios e Apostas (SPA) regulator, enabling it to serve as a certifying entity for betting systems, live gaming studios, and online gaming operations in Brazil. This approval extends eCOGRA's reach to 39 online gambling jurisdictions, including various regions in South America such as the city and province of Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Colombia, and Peru.
With this development, gambling software operators and developers in Brazil gain access to eCOGRA's comprehensive testing, verification, and certification services, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. Bradley Khoury, the company's Chief Technology Officer, emphasized that SPA's approval underscores eCOGRA's steadfast commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity. Khoury expressed excitement about this milestone, highlighting it as a new chapter for eCOGRA.
Moving forward, eCOGRA aims to collaborate closely with Brazilian operators and stakeholders to foster a safe and equitable gaming environment for all participants.
