The 55-year-old man is also facing charges of improper storage of a firearm and receiving proceeds of crime exceeding 5,000 Canadian dollars (3,700 US dollars).

Police conducted raids at multiple locations across Toronto, Vaughan, and Scarborough, where they discovered over $250,000 in cash on the ex-official, along with expensive jewelry. Additionally, illegal slot machines and weapons were seized.
