Gaming and Leisure Properties Acquires Three Casinos for $105 Million

Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (GLPI) has announced the acquisition of three casino properties for $105 million. The properties include the Silverado Franklin Hotel and Gaming Complex and the Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel and Casino in Deadwood, South Dakota, as well as Baldini's Casino in Sparks, Nevada. GLPI's total investment will reach $110 million, with the additional funds allocated for significant renovations of the establishments.

This acquisition marks GLPI's first venture into the South Dakota market and expands its presence in Nevada. Peter Carlino, GLPI's chairman and CEO, expressed satisfaction with the investment, noting that it broadens the company's portfolio to 65 properties across 20 states.

The Silverado Franklin Hotel and Gaming Complex, opened in 1990, is one of South Dakota's largest gaming facilities. It boasts 245 slot machines, 16 table games, two restaurants, four bars, and a 68-room hotel.

The Deadwood Mountain Grand is another South Dakota property, featuring over 140 slot machines and eight table games, two restaurants, a 67-seat betting club, and an events center.

Baldini's Casino in Sparks offers 492 slot machines, multiple restaurants and bars, a sportsbook, and office and support spaces.
