Gammix to Contest "Outrageous" €19.7 Million KSA Fine
Gammix Limited, a gambling company, has expressed its intention to challenge the record fine of €19.7 million imposed by the Dutch regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA). The regulatory body penalized Gammix for failing to prevent Dutch players from accessing its online casinos.
The management of Gammix has denounced the decision as "outrageous and unfounded" and pledged to contest it vigorously until they receive an apology and a denial of guilt.
Director Phil Pearson criticized the KSA for using what he deemed "falsified data, gross inaccuracy, and highly suspect mathematics" to issue the largest fine in its history. Pearson emphasized that Gammix undergoes regular audits in compliance with the guidelines of the Maltese regulator MGA, and he expressed concern about the implications of such allegations for the industry.
The KSA's accusation asserted that an employee of the regulator successfully created an account and registered on Gammix sites in the Netherlands, contrary to access restrictions. Gammix refuted this claim, stating that the new account was created from Luxembourg.
