German Gambling Regulator Calls for Industry Investigation

The German Gambling Regulator (GGL) has emphasized the importance of conducting thorough research into the gambling sector during discussions with industry stakeholders. Speaking at the twentieth gambling symposium organized by the University of Hohenheim, GGL board member Ronald Benter underscored the need for comprehensive and high-quality research to inform policymaking under the State Gambling Treaty.

Benter highlighted the pivotal role of scientific findings in shaping both political and social discourse surrounding gambling regulation. He emphasized the regulator's commitment to promoting and initiating research endeavors aimed at gaining deeper insights into various aspects of the industry. This includes studying both positive developments and challenges within the gambling sector.

Furthermore, GGL emphasized the significance of fostering open dialogue and engaging with diverse viewpoints and interests in shaping regulatory policies.
