The division of Gaming Innovation Group is undergoing a rebranding, aligning with the name Gentoo and restructuring to offer lead generation services for partners. The name change is linked to GiG's acquisition of Rebel Penguin in 2017 for €13.0 million, prompting a strategic overhaul to enhance growth opportunities by separating its media and sportsbook platforms.
“The launch of our new brand is an important milestone for us. Gentoo was built with all of our partners and employees in mind, ensuring an accurate representation of ourselves, the business and what we stand for and believe in. The launch of Gentoo marks a new era, and we are more excited than ever about the future prospects of the business,” said Jonas Warrer, CEO of GiG, commenting on the rebranding.
Just to reiterate, GiG recently completed the acquisitions of two companies. On June 17th, GiG announced the acquisition of SEO and content specialist Titan for €3.2 million, with payments of €1.0 million at closing, €1.0 million after 12 months, and €1.2 million after 24 months. Prior to that, in June, GiG also acquired Casinomeister for 3.0 million euros.
