Hollywood Casino unexpectedly closed before Christmas
Hollywood Casino in the US state of Pennsylvania unexpectedly closed its doors on Christmas Eve, causing disappointment among guests who were forced to leave the establishment. Numerous reports on social media highlighted the incident, expressing frustration among customers and eroding trust in the casino.
The closure was attributed to unforeseen technical failures that disrupted the functioning of gaming devices. The management has not provided specific reasons for the incident, and the exact nature of the problem leading to the evacuation of patrons from the gambling halls remains unknown. The casino resumed operations and welcomed guests only later on the following day.
Some experts suggested that the cause of the failure might be a hacker attack. In the months of November and December 2023, several major US operators, including MGM Resorts and Caesars International, fell victim to cybersecurity attacks.
