IGT Announces Return to Nevada with Merger with Everi Holdings

International Game Technology (IGT) has revealed plans for its complete business, including the digital sector, to merge with Everi Holdings. Operating under the IGT brand, the combined entity will make a triumphant return to the Nevada gambling market, with operations managed from Las Vegas. The primary production hub will remain in Reno, Nevada.

Current CEO Vince Saduski will retain his position, and Michael Rumboltz from Everi will assume the role of chairman of the board of directors for the reorganized company. While the lottery division will continue to operate independently, the majority of IGT's activities will be centered in Las Vegas.

The strategic move to return to Nevada and establish manufacturing facilities in Reno is anticipated to invigorate the state's gaming industry, offering local operators access to cutting-edge gaming machines. Daron Dorsey, the executive director of the Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association, expressed optimism that IGT's return will strengthen Nevada's economy and reclaim its standing as a leading slot machine manufacturer.
