Illinois Gaming Board has granted approval for Bally's Chicago Casino Entertainment Center to operate 24 hours a day, starting from December 27, 2023. This decision provides the establishment with a competitive edge over other similar gambling venues. Mark Wong, Vice President and General Manager of Bally's Chicago, believes that the transition to daily operations will enhance the popularity and profitability of the complex.
Currently, the company is running a temporary casino in Chicago while awaiting the completion of construction on a permanent site in Roy Islands. In 2022, Bally's Chicago secured one of six state casino licenses, enabling the construction of a $1.74 billion property. The primary location will be situated on the grounds of the Freedom Center printing plant, and Bally's Chicago aims to open the casino by the end of 2026.
