The Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has reached out to representatives of social network X (Twitter) to address concerns about limiting gambling advertisements. The ministry is calling for advanced methods to detect and automatically process gambling-related content, with a crucial requirement being an automatic system that operates without human intervention.
Samuel Abrijani Pangerapan, director general of the ministry's information technology department, stated that currently, authorities issue notices to remove prohibited content, but an automatic system detecting such content would be more convenient.
The ministry directed its request to Elon Musk, the owner of the social network. Previously, X introduced the capability to place bets using the BetMGM bookmaker.
