January casino revenue in Macau is expected to surpass $1.62 billion
The gambling sector in the Macau region brought in over 13 billion patacas ($1.62 billion) in just the first three weeks of January. According to JPMorgan Bank's most recent estimate, revenue came in at about 619 million patacas a day.
This figure is higher than the profit made in December 2023: Macau casinos earned 599 million patacas on average every day in the final month of 2023. The revenue generated by casinos has now started to increase and is between 105% and 110% greater than it was prior to the coronavirus outbreak. Analysts at JPMorgan predict that sales in January will hit at least 17.5 billion patacas ($2,17 billion).
