Authorities in Kazakhstan have successfully dismantled the largest network of illegal online casinos operating in the country, which were disguised as lottery clubs. A total of 570 searches were conducted across the nation at the premises and offices of lotto companies. The operation led to the seizure of 23 firearms and traumatic weapons, along with significant amounts of cash in Kazakhstani tenge, Russian rubles, and US dollars.
The raids resulted in the cessation of activities for 326 lotto clubs, and more than three thousand law enforcement officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Security Committee (KNB) were involved in the operation. Additionally, it was revealed that, apart from illegal gambling activities, security guards and administrators were organizing intimate services for VIP clients.
