Leading US Operators Establish Trusted Online Gambling Association
Seven prominent operators in North America have joined forces to establish the Reliable Online Gambling Association (ROGA), aimed at promoting industry best practices. The association has outlined several key objectives, including funding independent research into the efficacy of gambling regulation tools, raising awareness of gambling addiction issues, regulating gambling advertising, and safeguarding clients from unscrupulous gambling operators. ROGA's overarching goal is to establish an independent certification program.
The founding members of the association include BetMGM, Bet365, DraftKings, Fanatics Betting & Gaming, FanDuel, Hard Rock Digital, and Penn Entertainment, collectively representing over 85% of the legalized online betting and gambling industry in the United States. These members have collectively committed over $20 million to support ROGA's initiatives in its inaugural year.
Jennifer Shatley has been appointed as the association's executive director. Notably, she will concurrently serve as the president of the Nevada Council and hold a position on the National Council on Gambling Problems.
