Lottoland Deutschland has successfully obtained a German license from the national lottery brokerage company, enabling the operator to act as a broker for government-licensed online lottery games. Additionally, the organization has been added to the white list of companies by the Joint Gambling Authority of the German Federal States (GGL).
Magnus von Zitzewitz, the managing director of Lottoland, expressed satisfaction that the license application had been approved following thorough deliberation by the federal states. Previously, GGL had restricted access to Lottoland Group websites within the country, and authorities had instructed payment providers to cease collaboration with the organization.
Operating across multiple jurisdictions, Lottoland has been actively expanding its global footprint. In a recent development, a poll conducted by Ireland Thinks on behalf of the company in November indicated that 75% of respondents in Ireland opposed a gambling ban, as reported by Gambling Insider. Moreover, in early 2022, the organization secured a license from the Victorian Government in Australia, in collaboration with Tabcorp.
