Eight individuals have been detained by police in Macau under suspicion of robbing a local casino, resulting in estimated damages of $582,000.
The suspects, all local residents aged between 33 and 42 years, include five individuals employed by the casino operator and three others believed to be the masterminds behind the criminal activities. While specific charges for each suspect have not yet been detailed, the authorities have indicated that this group is also linked to at least two other similar crimes committed earlier in the year.
Law enforcement officials believe that additional participants in the illegal activities remain at large, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend all involved parties.
