Mohegan Ends Management of Atlantic City Hotel-Casino
Mohegan Indians, a gaming and hospitality operator, will cease its management of the Resorts Casino hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The partnership with the Bailey and Jerome family, who own the hotel-casino, will officially conclude by the end of 2024.
In 2012, the Mohegan Organization acquired a 10% stake in Resorts and established a management agreement with Resorts Casino Hotel, marking the first "tribal" establishment in Atlantic City. Despite ending its management role, Mohegan will retain a 10% stake, as confirmed by Mohegan President and CEO Ray Pino.
Atlantic City's gambling industry set a revenue record in January 2024, with Resorts Casino making a substantial contribution. The successor for the management of the hotel and casino is yet to be announced.
