Nevada Gaming Commission Grants New Licenses to Entain and Accel
The Nevada Gaming Commission has granted full gaming licenses to two prominent gaming corporations, Entain and Accel Entertainment. This decision marks a significant milestone for both companies, demonstrating their compliance with Nevada's rigorous licensing requirements.
Entain, a leading British sports betting company, had previously operated under restricted licenses in Nevada due to concerns about its activities in unregulated markets. During the hearing, Entain's lawyer, Erica Åkerberg, highlighted the progress the company has made in resolving these issues. Commissioner Brian Krolicki praised Entain for its exemplary management practices and ethical standards.
Accel Entertainment, based in Illinois and a provider of gaming terminals, also received a full gaming license from the Nevada Gaming Commission. Carl Peterson, Accel's chairman, addressed the regulator during the hearing, emphasizing the company's implementation of stringent vetting, compliance, and oversight measures.
The grants of full gaming licenses to Entain and Accel reflect their commitment to meeting Nevada's high standards for gaming operations, ensuring transparency and compliance in the industry.
