Nevada Introduces Casino Chip Thieves' Access Restrictions
Representatives of the Nevada Gaming Control Board have unanimously voted to create a special blacklist for 'casino chip thieves,' as stated. An individual caught stealing chips will no longer be allowed to visit gambling establishments within the state.
After Neil Ahmed Hearne, a gamer, stole chips from a gaming table and left the casino, the idea to create this "blacklist" was born. It was found by authorities that the robber was trying to take the winnings of another gamer. Hearne had already been charged with identical offenses in January 2018 after he took chips from twelve other casinos located throughout Clark County.
Kirk Hendrick, the Chairman of the Board, emphasized that Hearne's criminal activities generated income for him and encouraged other dishonest players to follow suit. Despite being banned from all Nevada casinos, Hearne has the option to challenge this decision and file an appeal.
