Bally's Corporation has introduced an online casino in Rhode Island, making it the seventh state in the US to legalize gambling. The platform allows users to play slots and card games via a computer or an iOS mobile application. Initially, around 170 slot machines will be accessible to players over 21 with a Bally's account.
The launch received technological support from live dealer gaming software provider Stakelogic. Rhode Island Senate President Dominick Ruggerio expressed confidence that the state will continue to lead in the competitive gaming industry.
Rhode Island legalized gambling in June 2023 with House Bill 948. This legislation expanded Bally's monopoly to include both land-based casinos and online gambling operations. In 2021, lawmakers approved a 20-year, no-bid contract for Bally's and gaming provider IGT to operate two land-based casinos in the state.
