The Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA) has taken a strong stance against illegal online gambling by blocking True Polygon Entertainment and Smein Hosting for operating without proper licenses. Its actions stem from concerns over player safety, as both platforms allowed unrestricted access, potentially exposing minors and vulnerable individuals to gambling.
The CSGOBIG platform, owned by Cyprus-registered True Polygon Entertainment, lacked necessary controls for user registration, raising risks for underage and addicted players. No licensing information was found for True Polygon, further compounding its legal violations.
Similarly, Smein Hosting, based in Curaçao and operating Gamdom, was found actively targeting Swedish customers through affiliate marketing. Like True Polygon, Smein lacked a Swedish gambling license. Adding to its notoriety, Gamdom was blacklisted by Twitch in the previous year for its illegal operations.
