Statistics: slots are losing popularity in Europe

Game Aggregator analyzed popular gambling games in the second half of 2022 and the first half of 2023. In Europe, slots and machines remain in demand, although their popularity has decreased by about 5 percentage points. Nevertheless, their market share still exceeds 80% among other gambling categories. On the other hand, card games have improved their position by almost 4 percentage points.

The top 5 popular gambling categories did not change significantly in the second quarter of 2023. Dice games showed a significant growth in betting volume, increasing 2.7 times compared to the previous quarter. This growth allowed this category to take the fifth place in the ranking, displacing casual games.

In Asia, the top five most popular game categories continue to show a stable trend since the last quarter of 2022. Slots remain the leader in the Asian gaming market, exceeding a share of 80% compared to other categories.

In Latin America, the top five most popular game categories remained unchanged over the past year, with slots games accounting for around 60% of the total.
