Turkish authorities have lifted the ban on the live streaming platform Kick several days after its imposition. The site's management took action to comply with regulations by removing all gambling-related content from its Turkish version, leading to the restoration of access.
The controversy surrounding gambling content on live broadcasts has been an ongoing issue in Turkey for many years. The sanctions against Kick sparked debates and discussions among users. Following the removal of gambling-related content, the KickTrQ account on Twitter posted a message acknowledging the lifting of the block and appreciating the efforts made to resolve the issue.
Apart from Kick, Turkish authorities have also restricted access to another streaming platform featuring gambling content, Twitch. While Twitch still includes a Casino category, it remains to be seen whether the platform's management will take similar measures to comply with regulations.
