Sony has announced that the online services for Gran Turismo Sport will shut down on January 31, 2024. Distribution of purchasable items will also cease as of December 1, 2023.
Once the servers go offline, the Community, Open Lobby, Quick Play, Seasonal Events, and Sport Mode features will be unavailable. Liveries for vehicles that require online connectivity through the Discover feature will be reset to their original colors.
However, add-ons that have already been purchased can still be used after this date. These add-ons include new cars, the Scape content pack, and the Lewis Hamilton Time Trial, available on the PlayStation Store.
Sony is urging players who want to get certain trophies to do so before the servers close next year, as some trophies that require an online connection will become unavailable after that. The company also promises to continue improving online services for Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
