Esports betting operator Oddin.gg has teamed up with tournament organizer PGL in the lead-up to the 2024 Copenhagen Major for the Counter-Strike discipline. PGL will provide Oddin.gg with its database and advertising resources, enabling other tournament partners to utilize the service.
Marek Suchar, Managing Director and Co-founder of Oddin.gg, stated that the deal is an excellent opportunity to merge "two worlds." He mentioned existing collaborations with betting companies BetWay and Altenar. Describing PGL as the "pinnacle of esports," Suchar anticipates a productive partnership.
The cyber tournament will feature 24 teams divided into divisions, with a prize pool exceeding one million dollars and $500,000 for the winner.
Oddin.gg previously partnered with the gaming data platform GRID for Dota 2, a multiplayer game developed by Valve. The game's objective is to collaborate with allies against an enemy team to capture their base, utilizing characters' unique skills.
