Two major eSports federations have signed a strategic partnership

The International Esports Federation (IESF) and the Global Esports Federation (GEF) have formalized a strategic partnership through the signing of a memorandum of understanding. This collaborative document aims to "stimulate development and provide new opportunities in the eSports ecosystem worldwide." Both entities, IESF and GEF, will collaborate on various initiatives geared towards the advancement of the esports industry.

The signing ceremony took place during the GEF Global Esports Games in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, serving as the Vice President of IESF, forged this agreement with Chris Chan, the President of GEF. The authenticity of the signatures was verified by Eun Ser Miang, Vice-President of the International Olympic Committee.

Experts have indicated that, moving forward, the possibility of a merger between the two federations is on the horizon, given Prince Faisal's pivotal role in both international organizations.
