Gammix Limited, an online casino operator, faces an unprecedented fine of €19.7 million from the Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA). This marks the largest penalty ever issued in the Dutch gaming industry, attributing the violation to the company's failure to block Dutch players' access to its online casinos, such as Blue Vegas, Rant Casino, and Bet Original. The operator is given a six-week deadline to remit the fine.
The substantial fine is determined considering various aggravating factors, including the projected turnover anticipated from Dutch gamers. A critical lapse highlighted was Gammix Limited's failure to implement age verification, a deficiency characterized as "extremely harmful" by KSA Chairman René Jansen.
This incident follows a prior penalty of €4.4 million levied against Gammix Limited for a similar transgression. According to KSA, players using Dutch IP addresses may still manage to register accounts on banned online platforms.
