In a gaming report by research and consulting firm Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, sportsbook operator FanDuel claimed the first position, establishing its sustainability in both the casino and the broader online gambling and betting industry. This achievement places FanDuel ahead of its perennial rival, DraftKings.
Chris Krafcik, Managing Director of Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, emphasized that both gambling entities are instrumental in shaping the competitive landscape of the US market. Notably, they surpassed other industry heavyweights such as Kindred Group, PointsBet, Better Collective, as well as the challenged Entain Corporation and the underperforming BetMGM brand.
As things stand, DraftKings and FanDuel are expected to maintain their dominance, continuing to lead the market. Their strong market presence, fueled by substantial marketing expenditures and widespread popularity among sports enthusiasts nationwide, positions them as formidable players. Currently, FanDuel commands approximately 35% of the online sports betting and iGaming market share, surpassing DraftKings with a 32% market share.
