Flutter Invests €141 Million in MaxBet

Flutter Entertainment, a prominent gambling corporation, has made a significant investment of €141 million in the Serbian bookmaker MaxBet Kladionica. This strategic move grants Flutter Entertainment entry into the Serbian gaming industry, establishing a strong presence in the rapidly expanding Balkan market.

As part of the corporation's strategy, MaxBet will be integrated into Flutter Entertainment's proprietary technology platform, Flutter Edge. MaxBet currently operates 400 betting points across Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, holding approximately 20% ownership in Serbian online casinos.

The deal for the acquisition of MaxBet was finalized in September 2023. Flutter Entertainment's CEO at the time, Peter Jackson, highlighted MaxBet as a "great opportunity" to replicate the success achieved by the company in other regions such as Georgia, India, and Italy. This investment further strengthens Flutter Entertainment's position in the global gambling landscape.
