In February, Indiana's sports betting industry experienced a notable increase in both total bet volume and revenue compared to the same period last year.
Total bet volume for February amounted to $408.7 million, marking a substantial 14.7% increase from the $356.2 million recorded in the previous year. Despite this surge, it fell short of the $480.3 million wagered in January 2024, which saw a 14.9% rise compared to February.
Interestingly, despite the prominence of Super Bowl LVIII, American football wagers accounted for only $14.1 million of the total amount. Basketball emerged as the most popular sport for betting in February, with wagers amounting to $117.6 million, while baseball trailed significantly at $2.1 million. Parlay bets totaled $191 million, with an additional $83.6 million wagered on other sports.
These figures indicate a robust performance for Indiana's sports betting market, underscoring the sustained interest and engagement of bettors across various sporting events.
