Intercard, a specialist in cashless technology, has installed a cashless system in Arcade Mania in Canovanas, Puerto Rico. The gaming hall with 160 slots is now part of the entertainment center Sector Sixty6, one of the largest shopping centers in the Caribbean. This is the third arcade project that Intercard has completed with Power House Entertainment Group.
In 2022, Puerto Rico’s Gambling Commission fined establishments a total of $1.2 million for operating illegal gaming machines. During inspections, 221 unregistered machines were discovered, with 60 of them found in one gaming club alone.
The introduction of a cashless payment system will help authorities and regulators to track illegal payments and prevent them.
