In the fourth quarter, Kindred Group observed a decline in the proportion of revenue generated from individuals struggling with gambling addiction. The operator attributed this positive trend to the impact of advertising promoting conscious and responsible gambling habits among members of online casinos and bookmakers.
Notably, income from gambling addicts constituted 3.1% of the total revenue for the fourth quarter. The company highlighted that approximately 87.4% of customers exhibited improved behavior scores, showcasing better control over the impulse to bet, even after experiencing losses during a session. Kindred Group emphasized the growing number of responsible gamers, with figures reaching 86.7% in the third quarter, 84.4% in the second, and 83% in the first.
Alexander Westrell, the Director of Public Relations at Kindred, emphasized the need for a long-term perspective to address the decline in revenue from addicted gamblers. He noted that the "Journey to Zero" social program, which educates about the dangers of betting abuse, contributes to the reduction in the number of individuals struggling with gambling addiction.
